The Way Companies’ quest for building excellence began in 1918, when a modest but dedicated refrigeration business opened its doors in Houston. From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown into one of the nation’s most experienced facility service providers, specializing in industrial and commercial HVAC services, maintenance, and building automation and controls.

We were innovators early on. By the 1930s, Way pioneered the use of ice-based thermal storage systems to cool churches and movie theaters across Texas. In the 1980s, we were among the first companies to implement performance contracting—using data to track energy efficiency and reinvest savings into building improvements.
